The EVASION roof top tent opens via a full pop-up mechanism to maximize living area inside the tent. 

To maximize airflow and cross flow ventilation, there are entrances on both sides of the tent, and for extreme climate conditions, ventilation can also be assisted by the solar-powered ventilation system. Access to the tent is easily gained on either side by using the sturdy folding ladder that comes standard with all James Baroud roof top tents.

Additional Hardshell James Baroud Roof Top Tent features:

Tent Fabric: It is our guarantee that you will not find a more outperforming, top quality fabric on any other roof top tent. All James Baroud RTT's utilize a proprietary aluminized polyester with acrylic coating which is UV resistant, solar reflective, 100% waterproof and breathable. 
We guarantee you won't find a higher-quality, better-performing fabric on any roof top tent.  All doors/windows are covered with high quality insect-proof netting.

Mattress: The most important feature or your roof top tent is the part you sleep on: The mattress. All James Baroud roof top tents feature a 3" thick high-density moisture resistant foam mattress. Mattresses have a zippered cover for easy removal and cleaning. 

Interior Storage: All tents include a removable storage pocket for stowing phones, wallets, keys, tablets, headlamps, clothing or anything else you need to quickly stash inside the tent. The EVASION hard shell tents include an additional large ceiling storage net.  

Assisted Opening: Patented gas strut-assisted opening makes set up incredibly fast and easy - less than half a minute, and almost as fast to collapse back down.

Ladder: Entry to the tent is easily gained by using the included, specially-designed telescoping high quality aluminum ladder. This unique design automatically adjusts to the height of your vehicle and prevents bending while you are resting in your the tent.

Durability and Extreme Weather Performance: All James Baroud tents have passed an intense durability test, and you can sleep in confidence knowing that James Baroud tents are waterproof and tested in winds up to 60 mph.  For added comfort in extreme temperatures, add a Comfort Mat under your mattress (see Accessories). 

Outer Shell: The outer shell of all James Baroud hard shell tents (available in 3 colors and literally countless custom colors) utilizes fiberglass fortified polyester. Aerodynamic channels on the upper shell provide structural rigidity and help decrease wind noise while increasing fuel economy. 

LED Flashlight: All hard shell tents are equipped with a bright 15-LED rechargeable flashlight. Made of tough polycarbonate with an integrated belt clip, the light may be removed from the tent and carried around camp to illuminate your way wherever you go. Includes a USB charging cord along with a charge indicator LED . 

Ventilation: James Baroud hardshell tents feature a unique  solar electric ventilation fan. The ventilation fan is completely waterproof and can run up to 24 hours on a single charge. Additional air vents with integrated dust filters on each side of the tent provide air circulation inside while the tent is closed.

This is one of the good ones. There are other brands just as good, and manny brands are worse, but this handles well, rolls down easily, doesn't come off at all easily, and adapts to dips and curves like a champ. Appropriately heavy and dead, I'm happy with the way it smothers panel resonances and even at muffling direct sound, like a big hand over my Uncle Harry's eternally noisy mouth. You can rip the foil but you have to work hard at doing that. Remember to buy a brayer; you can roll overlaps nice and thin. Also remember to pre-wipe the sheet metal with a decent solvent like acetone or Stoddard/Varsol. It should last forever.

Good stuff, but watch the temp

I used this in my single cab pickup truck (89 ford.) It only took half the box (10 sheets or 25 square feet) to do the floors, but I bought the big box because I plan to do the doors, back wall, and maybe the roof as well. One thing I learned is that the temperature matters when you’re doing the installation. It was around 55F when I started in the evening, and when it dipped down into the 40s the sheets would not stick to the metal, and were hard to compress with the roller. That’s why I ended up only doing the floors and not any vertical surfaces; i will have to wait for a nice hot day. The other thing is that the foil layer on top is razor sharp at the edges, definitely wear gloves! I didn’t notice until after but I have little papercuts all over my fingers. Aside from those things, the install was easy and straightforward. The sheets cut easily with scissors, and any goo that ends up on your hands or scissors can be cleaned up with acetone (nail polish remover), or lacquer thinner. I would use this stuff again.

Awesome filter! Nasty campground water no longer...
Style: Standard Filter
I have run these for years in my RV and they work killer! Here's some more in-depth thoughts: Pros: - These work better than I had expected. Just hook them up to the water source, hook your hose to it, run it to your trailer and viola` clean and good tasting water. Some of the places we have visited have had water that I wouldn't feed to my worst enemy. With this thing attached, it's very good tasting. - I like the hose attachment that comes with this to aide in adding flexibility to the system and not put too much strain on the system. I have bought so many of these, I now use one attaching the filter to the nozzle, one out of the filter to my hose, and one attaching my hose to the trailer. Notes: - I will note that the manufacturer suggesting using these for only 1 camping season, and this makes sense. That's what I do, and it seems to work out great. It's not too much $ to replace every season. - Another note, when first putting this filter into service (just the first time of the season, subsequent hook-ups wont do this) there will be a bunch of carbon (black in the water) that comes out of the faucet in your trailer. This is perfectly fine, safe, and of no issue. This is the filter breaking in and getting the extra carbon out of the system. There is no health concern with this happening. I just run the faucet until it clears up, and then we're good to go for the rest of the season. - Last note, when we unhook from our camping spot, I swing the filter in my hand with my arm extended (using centrifugal force, not centrifical, look it up) to get the residual water out of the filter so it doesn't sit in there and spoil. I do this until I get most of the water drops to stop, leave it out on the counter to dry, and boom, it's perfect the next time. Cons: - None to report Overall this filter does a great job taking care of some seriously nasty campground water that we've encountered all over the Southwest US. I cannot recommend it any higher. I hope I have helped your purchasing decision of this product.
